Sierra 4-H Exhibitor Feature – Oscar Glass

The Jr. Livestock Auction returns to in-person on Saturday, October 9 at 10 a.m. and October 16 at 9 a.m. and will feature goats, sheep, beef, swine, rabbits and poultry from dedicated and hardworking 4-H and FFA members throughout Fresno County.

Leading up to the auction, we’ll be featuring 4-H & FFA exhibitors from participating chapters to highlight their animal project and all their hard work, while also giving buyers and our community a glimpse of animals they can bid on!

Meet Oscar Glass, a Sierra 4-H student who is a 7th grader at Sierra Junior High School:

“Oscar Glass is 12 years old and a 7th grader at Sierra Junior High School. He is a member of Sierra 4-H and has been since he was 9 years old. He joined 4-H to learn more about the things he likes to do, like spending time with goats. Oscar says he loves his goats because they are a team and he enjoys spending time with them and managing their growth. His favorite part of showing goats is spending time with his friends getting ready to go into the show ring.

Oscar will be showing 2 Boer wether goats this year and their names are Batman and Cash. He’s also showing a breeding doe named Wonder Woman. He will be selling Batman at The Big Fresno Fair’s Jr. Livestock Auction after a sixth month show carrier.”

Help out these hard-working students in the community! Participate in the sale as a buyer or place an add-on bid! Every bit helps out these kids who’ve been working all year to get to where they are now. Buyer registration opens Monday, September 20.
