Combining the speed and fury of hardcore punk with prominent guitars and vocals of heavy metal, Anthrax were one of the first thrash metal bands to become a leader in the genre alongside Metallica, Slayer and Megadeth. The band includes lead guitarist, Scott Ian, bassist Frank Bello, drummer Charlie Benante, singer Joey Belladonna, and guitarist John Donais.
