Memorial Day – Office Closed Through Monday

This Memorial Day, and every day, we remember the brave men and women who sacrifice their lives to protect our freedom. The Fresno Fairgrounds Administration Office will be closed beginning today through Monday, May 31 in observance of Memorial Day. The office will reopen Tuesday, June 1.

Throwback Thursday Concert Spotlight: Billy Idol

Today’s Throwback Thursday Concert Spotlight goes to ‘80s rock singer, Billy Idol! He performed at The Big Fresno Fair’s Table Mountain Concert Series presented by Coors Light and Toyota back in 2011. Billy Idol is best known for his songs “Rebel Yell,” “White Wedding,” “Eyes Without a Face” and so much more! Were you in the crowd at Billy Idol’s Big Fresno Fair performance? Big Times Are Back This October for the 2021 Big Fresno Fair!

A lot of you have been asking and we have your answer!

Big Times will be BACK at The Big Fresno Fair this October with a modified in-person Fair! It’s been one long year without our BFFs and we’re so excited to be able to welcome you all back to our Fairgrounds to enjoy this 138-year longstanding tradition of Fresno County. There will, of course, be modifications and we are working through those exact plans. Our modified, in-person Fair will be held within our assigned Fair dates, which are October 6 – 17. We look forward to sharing more details with you in the coming months on our website here and social. In the meantime, mark your calendars! 😎🍂🎡

Fresno Home & Garden Show is 2 Weeks Away!

Get your tickets early for the 35th Annual Home & Garden Show at the Fresno Fairgrounds happening Friday, May 21 through Sunday, May 23! Talk to licensed contractors, shop gourmet foods, artisans/crafters, and dine at the Outdoor Food Court with Fair food and gourmet food trucks!

 

🏡Know Before You Go🏡:

  • Hours are 8:30 a.m. – 10 a.m. on Friday for Seniors & immunocompromised individuals ONLY.
  • General Admission hours on Friday are 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
  • Face coverings and social distancing are required.
  • Purchase your tickets online to help reduce the amount of contact at the gate.
  • General admission tickets are $10.
  • Seniors 60+ are $5.
  • Children 12 & under are FREE.
  • Parking is $10 at Kings Canyon Rd and Butler (CASH ONLY)
  • Parking is $12 of South Chance Ave (CASH ONLY)

We can all agree that this last school year has been a bumpy ride but thankfully, we’re getting back into the swing of things in the classroom again! So, be sure to take the time today to give your teachers a BIG thank you! Happy National Teachers’ Day to all the teachers that make up our Fresno County education system and beyond! 👩‍🏫🏫👨‍🏫

 

While Fair Education won’t be happening this year, remember that The Big Fresno Fair provides great learning opportunities for kids and adults alike! From competitive exhibits to livestock, the Fresno County Historical Museum and more, there’s plenty of fun new things to learn while visiting The Big Fresno Fair!

Watch and Wager with Us for the 147th Kentucky Derby | April 30 – May 1

Join us at The Starting Gate for two of the biggest races of the year on the first and second floor of the Brian I. Tatarian Grandstand! Watch and wager with us beginning Friday, April 30 for the Kentucky Oaks races and Saturday, May 1 for the Kentucky Derby! Gates open at 7 a.m. each day – times subject to change.

 

Here are a few things you need to know before you go:

  • Admission is $6.
  • Parking is FREE! Just enter through Gate 7 on Butler Ave. and park in front of the Grandstand.
  • No reservations required; seating is limited and will be on a first come, first serve basis.
  • 1 guest per table only.
  • If all tables are taken, you can still place your bets then leave.
  • Outside seating available on the first floor.
  • Food will be available on site for purchase.
  • All patrons must follow health and safety guidelines or risk ejection.

 

Want VIP treatment? Seating in the VIP room will be available for an additional $5. Only two people per table in VIP. To make your reservation, please call Pardini’s at (559) 253-0155.
