The 8th annual San Joaquin Valley Olive Oil Competition (SJVOOC) is now underway! All commercial olive oil producers in California can now submit their extra virgin or flavored olive oil varieties NOW through Friday, May 12 at the Fresno Fairgrounds. Winners will be announced on Tuesday, June 6. Awards will be given out for Best of Show, Best of the Valley – as well as Gold and Silver medal winners.

Santa Anita Horse Races Canceled for Friday, March 24 | Race Moved to March 27

Attention satellite wagerers! Due to weather conditions, Santa Anita track has canceled their races for Friday, March 24. Races will now take place on Monday, March 27. The Starting Gate will operate Thursday – Monday for this week only.

Fair Education Registration is Now Open to Fresno County Schools!

Attention teachers! It’s that time again to register for the Fair Education Program!  We are so excited to welcome Fresno County public, private and home school student’s Pre-K through 8th grade to the 2023 Big Fresno Fair for a FREE educational field trip to learn more about the rich and diverse agriculture that powers our region, as well as the history of Fresno County and its talented residents.

 

The Fair Education Program dates are Thursday, October 5; Friday, October 6; Thursday, October 12 and Friday, October 13.

It’s National Agriculture Week!

It’s the beginning of National Ag Week and what better way to celebrate than to highlight our hard-working livestock exhibitors! Did you know that a total of 2,580 animals were exhibited and a total of 1,043 exhibitors from different 4-H and FFA groups participated in the 2022 Big Fresno Fair Livestock Exhibits? Many of these members participated in the Jr. Livestock Auctions on October 8 and 15 at the 2022 Big Fresno Fair. 🐮🐑🐐🐷🐔

 

Fun Fair Fact: A total of 806 animals were sold at the 2022 Big Fresno Fair, generating a grand total of $1.4 million in sales and add-ons! WOW! 🤩
