Think your furry friend has what it takes to win first place in a race? Then sign your pup up for the Derby Dog Dash by Tuesday, October 10 at 11:59 p.m. The winner of the championship heat will win $100 and second place finisher will receive $50. The winner of each individual heat will win $20 and second place will receive $10. Each entry will include admission to the Fairgrounds. All dogs MUST meet the weight and height requirements (less than 28 lbs. and 15” at the shoulder).

The Arleen Owen Legacy Pie Contest

In honor of an amazing woman and 71-year Big Fresno Fair Home Arts entrant, who especially loved pies, we are honored to name this year’s pie contest after Arleen Owen. So, everyone bring your best pie-making skills and let’s make Arleen (and her family) proud.

 

Classes include: Double Crust, Single Crusted, Custard Pie and any other pie. If you plan to enter, you must submit your online entry by September 8 at 11:59 p.m. Then you will actually make and bring your pie to the Fair on Saturday, October 7 at 11 a.m. to be judged! Enter online here.

Pint for a Pass Happening Now – October 14!

Save a life and save BIG at the 2023 Big Fresno Fair! Every person who donates a pint of blood during the 13th Annual “Pint for a Pass” Blood Drive NOW through Saturday, October 14 at any Central California Blood Center or mobile drive will receive a voucher for a “Buy One, Get One Free” admission ticket to the Fair plus other goodies! Donors will also be entered-to-win concert and horse racing tickets! The Big Fresno Fair and the Central California Blood Center encourage new and returning donors to come out and show support to the “Pint for a Pass” Blood Drive!
