Here’s a BIG THANK YOU to all of our BFFs that came out to enjoy the 2021 Big Fresno Fair! It was so nice to welcome you all through our gates once again as we returned to an in-person event. We hope you all enjoyed the return of live horse racing, amazing entertainment, thrilling carnival rides, tasty Fair food, our newest attractions and everything else in between that makes The Big Fresno Fair what it is!

“Due to the increased wind today and it’s impact on the air quality index, horse racing was cancelled for the safety of our horses and jockeys. It was not an easy decision to make, but it was the right decision for the safety of these athletes. The California Horse Racing Board (CHRB) veterinarian Dr. Jeff Blea, along with our track veterinarian, Dr. Frosty Franklin and our staff made this decision as it was unsafe to have these equine athletes compete when the air quality index is above 150; at the time we made the decision to cancel the air quality index was at 225. We will work to add the races that were to run today to Friday’s race card as potential extra races.  

Anyone who purchased horse racing tickets on-site to the races today can obtain their refund at the horse racing box office. If they were purchased in advance or online, a refund will be provided automatically within 5 business days.”

Relax, rest and repeat! Have a fun and safe Labor Day weekend! The Fair Admin Office will be closed on Monday, September 6 to celebrate and relax this three-day weekend. The office will re-open on Tuesday, September 7 at 8 a.m.

Tickets to see indie rock group Young the Giant are on-sale online only to BFF Members NOW and we have your chance to win a pair of FREE tickets to the show! Here’s what you have to do…just go to our Big Fresno Fair Facebook page or Instagram and then follow the contest rules on the post! Winner will be chosen on Tuesday, August 17 at 3 p.m.!
