Cen Cal Standoff Gaming Tournament Hits the Fairgrounds this Weekend!

CenCal Standoff (CCS) the Valley’s largest esports and combat game regional tournament June 10 & 11, 2023 at the Fresno Fairgrounds from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. each day! This is the 4th year of this regional tournament, which this year features Street Fighter 6 (which is the latest installment of the game just released this week) alongside 5 other games. There is a vendor hall with over 25 unique vendors from across the State selling collectibles, gifts, gaming items and more!

Parking & Entrance to Vendor Hall is FREE! Gaming spectator entrance fee is $25, which gets you play on Game Saru’s Japanese-style arcade machines alongside other gaming consoles. Tickets can be purchased at the door.

Office Closed for Memorial Day Weekend | May 26 – 29

This Memorial Day, we remember and honor the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives in service of our country. The Fair Administration Office will be closed beginning today through Monday, May 29 in observance of Memorial Day. The office will reopen Tuesday, May 30.

Preakness Stakes This Weekend!

Who will win it all during the 148th running of the Preakness Stakes? Join us on the second floor of the Grandstand on Sat, 5/20 to watch and wager on the excitement! Gates open at 7:15 a.m.

 

Here’s a few things to know before you go:

  • Admission is $6; VIP Room is an additional $5
  • To make reservations for VIP, please call Pardini’s at (559) 253-0155
  • Parking is FREE! Just enter through Gate 2 off Chance Ave. and park in front of Grandstand or in the Chance parking lot

12th Annual Big Band Review Happens Thursday, October 5 at The Big Fresno Fair!

Big Band Review Marching Band

Calling all marching bands! Planning for the 12th annual Big Band Review is officially underway! The Big Band Review will take place on Thursday, October 5 from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. in the Brian I. Tatarian Grandstand.

Jr. High and High School marching bands from throughout California are encouraged to sign-up for the chance to win $15,000 in cash prizes and trophies, and of course bragging rights! Applications are now being accepted. Deadline for entries is September 1, 2023.  

The 12th annual Big Band Review Competition is presented by EECU, Valley Children’s Healthcare, Toyota, Chevron and iHeart Radio.

Large Animal Evacuation Site

The Fresno Fairgrounds has been activated by Fresno County OES as an evacuation site for large animals. This flyer has all the information you need.

Location: Horse Barn Area
On Maple Ave., just south of Butler Ave.

Hours:
Haul in anytime from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
If after 5 p.m., call (559) 994-3108

What we will provide:
Shelter, alfalfa and bedding for your animals.

What you need to do:
Bring any diet specific food your animal needs.
Fill out this Animal Assistance Form.

Bring the Whole Family to Jurassic Empire This Weekend | January 28 – 29

Experience moving, breathing and walking dinosaurs at Jurassic Empire this Saturday, January 28 and Sunday, January 29 at the Fresno Fairgrounds’ Commerce Building! Bring the whole family out for a fun-filled dinosaur adventure to learn about dinosaurs from different eras, dig for fossils, enjoy fun activities and so much more! Here’s the details:

  • Saturday hours are 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Sunday hours are 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Adult admission (ages 13+) is $25
  • Child admission (ages 2 – 12) is $25
  • Child VIP admission is $28
  • Kids 2 and under are free
