Must be 21 and older to purchase alcohol. If you are purchasing alcohol it must be bought with a food item from Colossal Dog or Country Fair Cinnamon Rolls. All drinks will be sealed and ready to-go. Fairs were built on the foundation of agriculture and livestock. Now, 136 years later, the livestock exhibit is one of the biggest aspects of the annual Big Fresno Fair, and at year round community events. Our Fair, and others throughout California and the nation provide a platform for our 4-H and FFA youth to connect with one another, share their agricultural knowledge with the community, develop their marketing and public speaking skills and just continue to grow as leaders in our communities.

Fairs also serve as connection point between agriculture and our urban populations – telling the story of our food supply, providing education on the variety and characteristics of livestock, how to properly care for them and more. Many kids will see their first cow or pig at their local fair.

For this and so much more we are grateful for fairs throughout the state, nation and world. We hope you are too. Join us and show your appreciation for  the incredible way fairs and fairgrounds serve their communities.

There’s just something  special about having a sibling. Happy National Sibling Day! What better way to create memories with your sibling than attending The Big Fresno Fair this October! Tag your sibling to tell them how much you appreciate them!

We’re wrapping up National Ag Week with our final highlight of our Wells Fargo Agriculture Building. People from all over the world visit the Wells Fargo Agriculture Building presented by Save Mart to see all the reasons why Fresno County is the world’s top agricultural area! From apples to garlic, you’ll find more than 350 different varieties of locally-grown crops on display. Be sure to check out this exhibit to see exactly what this Valley is famous for! Did you know the entire Ag building comes together each year thanks to the many volunteers from each of the communities? Interested in volunteering this year? Let us know!

Along with it being the second day of National Ag Week, today is also National Ag Day! Instead of highlighting an Ag fact, we want to put the spotlight on our farmers. Without the hard work of our farmers, the rich Central Valley Ag wouldn’t be what it is today. Take the time today to thank a farmer for all their hard work!

The countdown continues! Only 203 days until the 2020 Big Fresno Fair and all of the amazing things it has to offer! What are you most excited for? The popular entertainment? The extraordinary exhibits? The wild carnival rides? Or the exciting action of live horse racing? Whatever it is, we can’t wait until the Big Times Are Back, October 7 – 18!

In support of International Women’s Day we would like to honor all the hard working and inspiring women who make the Central Valley’s largest annual event come to life! We would especially like to acknowledge some of our Big Fresno Fair team leaders – Deputy Managers, Stacy Rianda (left) & Lauri King (right), along with so many other remarkable women who work to make The Big Fresno Fair a little bigger and better each year!
