Did you know Fresno has an award-winning museum? The Fresno County Historical Museum at the Fresno Fairgrounds is dedicated to the rich history of Fresno County. This $3.4 million, 14,000 sq. ft. Museum features cultural, political, sports and public safety historical artifacts and stories, plus so much more that paint an incredible picture of our County’s history! Help support this Museum and preserve history by attending the Thursday, September 26, Fresno County Historical Museum Fundraiser. Enjoy a sneak peek at this year’s Fair with an awesome online auction including rare fair packages, like a Gate 2 on grounds parking pass, “Better Than Front Row” concert tickets, a table for 4 in the Turf Club for the First Friday at the races, a VIP Fair Food Card and so much more! There will also be hosted appetizers, beer and wine, too! Tickets cost $100 per person and can be purchased by calling (559) 650-3228 or at the Fresno Fairgrounds Administration Office. Hours are M-F, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Register for the Fair Education Program Today!

Don’t forget to register for the 2019 Big Fresno Fair’s Fair Education Program developed in conjunction with the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools and sponsored by the Meyers Water Bank & Wildlife Project, EECU, Chevron and Caltran’s Measure C. This program allows kindergarten through eighth grade students, in public, private, charter or home school classes, to visit the Fair FREE and learn in an educational, hands-on setting that touts curriculum aligned with Common Core State Standards (CCSS).

The 2019 Fair Education Program dates are Thursday, October 3; Friday, October 4; Thursday, October 10; and Friday, October 11. If you would like your class to participate fill out an application online now. There are a maximum number of students we can accommodate daily, so be sure to register early and assure your spot on this great field trip!
