On March 15, the U.S. Centers for Disease
Control (CDC) updated their interim guidance concerning mass gatherings and
large public events to state that no public events of 50 or more people should
be held for the next eight weeks, which is being supported and enforced by
Governor Newsom. The Fair is working closely with each of our rental clients to
determine possible dates later in the year that their event can be postponed
until. Additionally – we have temporarily closed operation of both satellite
wagering facilities – The Starting Gate at the Fairgrounds and the Polo Lounge
at Club One Casino. We are continuing to monitor the COVID-19
situation and are staying in contact with our Federal, State and local
government and health entities to determine when it is appropriate to resume
large public events.
The health and safety of our team members and our community continues to be top
priority and we remain committed to staying informed, educated and taking the
necessary steps to enhance public safety. We thank you for your patience and
