Parking on May 2 will be available in front of the Grandstand, while Derby Day parking on May 3 will be in the Chance Lot, with a shuttle running to the Grandstand if needed. Join the East Side Story for The 46th Anniversary Funkin’ Oldies Car Show & Fiesta on Saturday, May 3 from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. at the Fresno Fairgrounds. Enjoy classic cars, great music and fiesta vibes throughout the grounds! Tickets are $40 per person and parking is $10 in the Chance Lot.

Taking a trip down memory lane to the 2008 Big Fresno Fair when the country legend Randy Travis graced the Paul Paul Theater Stage! Known as one of the pioneers of modern country music, Randy has earned numerous awards, including Grammy wins and induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame. His timeless hits like “Forever and Ever, Amen” and “Three Wooden Crosses” have shaped the genre. Who remembers seeing this country icon live at The Big Fresno Fair?

The Big Fresno Fair has announced its 2025 Board officer positions for the 21st District Agricultural Association, which were confirmed during the Board’s January 28 meeting. The newly elected officers are: Gary Chahil, President; Frank Flores, Vice President; and Jerry Pacheco, Secretary/Treasurer.
“The Big Fresno Fair Board is dedicated to enhancing both the Fair and fairgrounds for current and future generations,” said Christina Estrada, CEO of The Big Fresno Fair. “Our 2025 officers will lead with passion – strengthening community connections, elevating the Fair experience and expanding our impact across the region. We’re grateful for their leadership and for the continued dedication of our entire Board in preserving this cherished tradition and vital gathering place.”
These officers will serve in their respective roles through January 2026. Founded in 1884, The Big Fresno Fair is the 5th largest fair in the state of California and represents the 21st District Agricultural Association. On average, 500,000 people from throughout the state visit The Big Fresno Fair each year, making it the largest annual event in the Central Valley – and a beloved family tradition.
“Serving as President of the 21st District Agricultural Association Board is a privilege, and I am profoundly appreciative of the trust bestowed upon me by the Governor’s office and my fellow Board members. I look forward to collaborating with them, our non-profit Foundation – Friends of The Big Fresno Fair – and the many dedicated vendors who help make the Fair what it is today. As the first American Sikh in this leadership position, I take pride in representing my community and contributing to the ongoing growth and influence of The Big Fresno Fair – a cherished tradition in the Central Valley. I am particularly grateful for the chance to give back to the region that has provided me with numerous opportunities,” said Chahil, President of The Big Fresno Fair Board.
The Big Fresno Fair is governed by an eight-member Board of Directors. Current Board members are: Gary Chahil, President; Frank Flores, Vice President; Jerry Pacheco, Secretary/Treasurer; Linda Mae Balakian Hunsucker; Terry Gonsalves; Annalisa Perea; Chuck Riojas; and Lawrence Salinas. Christina Estrada heads the Fair’s daily operations in her role as CEO.
The 2025 Big Fresno Fair will run October 1 – 12. The coming months will bring announcements regarding discounts, concerts, attractions, competitive exhibits and more.
