Congratulations Bill Smittcamp for Being Selected as Agriculturalist of the Year!

Congratulations to President and CEO of Wawona Frozen Foods, Bill Smittcamp for being awarded Agriculturalist of the Year by the Fresno Chamber of Commerce! Bill has contributed significantly to the agriculture industry in the greater Fresno area and under Smittcamp’s leadership, his family-owned farm grew to be the largest frozen peach processor in the Nation, processing over 75 million pounds of peaches along with 20 million pounds of strawberries and other fruits. Collectively, the company handles more than 125 million pounds of frozen product annually.

Bill and Wawona Frozen Foods have also contributed significantly to The Big Fresno Fair’s Feed the Need Food Drive – helping to feed those in need in our community. First in 2013, and for several years after Bill donated not a crate of frozen peaches to the food drive, but an entire truckload!

Congratulations Bill on this incredible, and very well-deserved honor! We are grateful for such a giving, community-minded ag leader in Fresno County! Congratulations again!
